Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week ending September 12th:
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is volleyball player Emma Beck
- Beck had 28 kills vs Seward, 23 kills, 17 digs vs Wasilla and 15 kills, 13 digs, four aces vs Homer
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is football player Seth Payne
- Payne was selected this week for his play against the Eielson Ravens.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is football player Ala Tuisaula
- Ala anchors the offensive line that currently leads the state in it’s rushing attack.
