The FBI Anchorage Field Office is seeking information regarding a bank robbery that occurred on Tuesday, September 19, at approximately 2:12 p.m. at the Global Credit Union branch located at 12222 Industry Way in Anchorage, Alaska.
The unknown suspect entered the branch, approached the teller counter, and demanded cash while pointing a firearm at employees. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses described the suspect as male, approximately 5’4” – 5’7” in height, with a slim build.
This is now the third bank robbery in Anchorage in the last three months. In separate incidents between July and August, a man robbed the Credit Union 1 Branch on Debarr. Following the second robbery, the man’s mother recognized his picture when it appeared in the news, and turned her son into the FBI.
