Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week ending October 10th:

- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is cross-country runner Greg Fallon
- Fallon ran for a 2nd Place finish at ASAA State Championships with a time of 16:42.24
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is volleyball player Alexa Iyatunguk
- Iyatunguk was selected for an outstanding job in volleyball.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is cheerleader Mazzy Bundy
- According to Bundy’s coach; “She works really hard, is always dependable, is a very helpful, and is a positive/encouraging upper classman on the team.”
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is cross-country runner Greg Fallon
