On Friday, the Homer Landfill announced that they will be closed for construction and demolition (CD) waste disposal the next couple of days due to a fire in the CD cell.
“We will announce reopening as soon as the Solid Waste can determine it is safe. Household trash disposal and recycling will remain open. Your safety and the safety of our community is our first priority. Thank you for your understanding and consider sharing with friends that need to know,” said Borough Waste Director Lee Frey.
