Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week ending November 21st:

- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is wrestler Delen Byrd
- Byrd placed 2nd place in JV at the Lancer Smith Wrestling Tournament.
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is wrestler Destiny Langston
- Langston was selected as Nikiski’s athlete of the week with a solid performance at Lancer Smith with a 3rd place finish.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is wrestler Jessica LeClair
- LeClair won the Lancer Smith Memorial Wrestling Tournament over the weekend. The tournament consisted of every team in the state of Alaska, and Jessica pinned all of her opponents.
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is wrestler Delen Byrd
