Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week ending December 5th:

- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is cross country skier Emily Moss
- Moss competed in the Turkey Trot and took 3rd Place with a finish time 17 minutes 41 seconds.
- Leading the pack for the Nikiski Bulldogs is wrestler Breaker Schmit
- Schmit had a great match against Homer this week.
- Selected for the Soldotna Stars is wrestler Trevor Michael
- Michael was the Champion at the Grace Grizzly Shakedown, and named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.
- Representing the Kenai Kardinals is cross country skier Emily Moss
