The Soldotna Stars and Kenai Kardinals will play in the 2024 ASAA Division II State Hockey Championship at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex beginning this Thursday.
Kenai enters the state tournament with a 11-9-1 record as the overall 5th seed. They will face off against 4th seed Juneau-Douglas at 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
The Soldotna Stars, winners of the 2023 ASAA Division II State Hockey Championship, finished 4th in the Northern Lights Conference. The Stars receive an at-large bid and with a 10-6 regular season record will be the tournament 3rd seed. They will take on #6 seed North Pole at 6:30 p.m.
Tournament play begins Thursday, Feb. 1.
