Each week throughout the high school sports 2023-24 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week of March 12th:
- For the Kenai Kardinals is basketball player Ellsi Miller
- Miller had 15 points, and 7 rebounds in the 2nd/3rd place game in the Northern Lights Conference tournament at Soldotna.
- For the Nikiski Bulldogs is basketball player Kailey Stynsberg
- Stynsberg throughout the 3A tournament averaged 11 rebounds per game and 7 of those offensive boards. She also had 7 points a game.
- For the Soldotna Stars is basketball player Andrew Pieh
- Pieh capped off his SoHi basketball career with some outstanding play over the weekend at the Northern Lights Basketball Tournament.
