According to Alaska Communications, crews are making progress in repairing the damaged fiber. However, the repairs will take longer than originally anticipated.
They expect services to be restored around midnight Alaska time and you should be back to business as usual in the morning.

Alaska Communications internet customers are experiencing intermittent service disruptions statewide due to fiber damage in Oregon.
The social media post states, “The fiber was damaged by construction equipment.”
Crews arrived on site at around 4:49 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29th, and efforts to repair the fiber are underway. They anticipate services will be restored by 10:30 p.m. Alaska time Wednesday, May 29th.
Restoring services continues to be Alaska Communications’ top priority.
