Each week throughout the high school sports 2024-25 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.
For the week of September 3rd:
- For the Kenai Kardinals is volleyball player Kate Wisnewski
- Kate made the All-Tournament Team at the North-South Todd Brewer Volleyball Tournament in Seward.
- For the Nikiski Bulldogs is volleyball player Alexa Iyatunguk.
- Alexa played consistently and stayed positive all weekend. She helped her team win a championship in the gold bracket against Kenai at the North-South Tournament in Seward.
- For the Soldotna Stars is volleyball player Sadie Lane
- This weekend against Kodiak, Sadie led the team with 15 kills, 25 digs, and 9 aces.
