Two Alaska State Troopers were assaulted by a Soldotna man on Tuesday when they attempted to confront him during a domestic dispute.
Just after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of someone trying to kick a door in at a residence outside of Soldotna, a Department of Public Safety Dispatch on the incident says. At the residence, Troopers contacted 31-year-old Jonathan Pelletier of Soldotna.
The dispatch states that, “Almost immediately, Pelletier assaulted two Troopers before ultimately being arrested.”
Further investigation revealed that in addition to his assault on the officers present, Pelletier had multiple household members the previous night.
Pelletier was charged with multiple counts of assault for Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct against police officers, as well as multiple counts of domestic violence and non-domestic violence assault.
He was remanded at Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held with no bail pending arraignment.
