Each week throughout the high school sports 2024-25 competitive seasons, KSRM/ESPN selects a Peninsula Sports Athlete of the Week from each of the central peninsula’s three public high schools.

For the week of January 20th:

  • Kenai Kardinals Athlete of the Week is basketball player Willow Graham.
    • Willow scored 11 points and nabbed 8 rebounds in the Kardinal’s game against Houston last week.
  • Nikiski Bulldogs Athlete of the Week is basketball player  Kameron Bird.
    • “Kamo” has really begun to embrace consistently giving his very best effort. At the Rus Hitchcock tournament, Kameron received the “Scrappy” Award, which goes to a player who stands out for playing especially hard and unselfishly under adversity.
  • Soldotna Stars Athlete of the Week is basketball player  Anaulie Sedivy.
    • Anaulie, a defensive specialist, continues to be a leader for the SOHI girl’s team and has done a great job all season.

Congratulations to all Peninsula Sports Athletes of the Week; each recipient will receive a 6-inch combo meal courtesy of Subway of the Kenai Peninsula.
