Today Gubernatorial candidate Byron Mallott met with Peninsula residents via Skype at the Joyce K. Carver Memorial Library where he had been scheduled to be but could not make it due to weather.
We were able to talk John Toppenberg as he left the meeting, who said he had never met Mallot before today but approved of his positions on various topics.
Toppenberg“Well on the fisheries he is sensitive to Alaska being dependant on salmon, I very much like that position. He has taken a position on Pebble Mine and I think is with the people of Alaska in opposition to that.”
Mallot’s Communications correspondent, Shana Sheehy, told us via email that in the past the top concerns for Peninsula residents had been BLAH BLAH waiting on email
Although he could not make it today, Mr. Mallott will be in Soldotna Thursday January 23 at River City Books 6 pm to 7:30 pm in Soldotna for a fundraiser.
