The House Resources Committee will hear public testimony on Senate Bill 138 at 6 pm. Senate Bill 138 deals with the Alaska Liquified Natural Gas Project.
Allison Stogsdill with the Kenai LIO office encouraged residents to come speak on the topic.
Stogsdill: “The House Resources Committee will be hearing public testimony on Senate Bill 138, which is the gas pipline, Alaska Gasline Development Corporation oil and gas production tax bill. When they are called on they can give their testimony, either in favor or against the bill or if they have ideas for amendments. There are lots of back up documents available for them to view and we encourage them to look at the actual bill itself.”
SB 138 was passed by the Senate on March 18.
Stogsdill added that people can show up anywhere between 5:30 and 6 pm in order to sign up to speak.
The LIO is located in Kenai at 145 Main Street Loop, #217 and for more information call 283-2030.
