There is a fire weather watch in effect from Saturday afternoon through Monday evening due to low humidity predicted for the Kenai Peninsula.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, starting Saturday afternoon and continuing through Monday evening we’ll see relative humidity as low as 15% along with 15-20 mph winds.
A fire weather watch means critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.
Temperatures are to reach 65-73 degrees over the weekend.
Although the low relative humidity will last all weekend, the driest conditions are expected to occur Sunday afternoon and evening.
