After successfully boring and laying a line under the Kenai River, Enstar has continued on to Scout Lake Road bores.
South Division Manager Charlie Pierce explained their recent work.
Pierce: “In addition to that river bore we did 5 or 6 other bores along Scout Lake Road and those were all completed as well successfully and so now we are starting the construction of the installation of the line along Scout Lake Road, we gotta fuse up just short of three miles of pipe, 2.8 I believe, and we’re going to start the ditch and back fill process of that installation, we’ll be tying into the bores that were installed in advance of this construction and then tie it into our Entrada Drive reg station, located at the Entrada end of Swanson River Road.”
Pierce said that if the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly should address the Funny River West utilities special assessment district or USAD at the assembly meeting on July 1.
Pierce: “We’ll get the truck line completed and ready for the delivery of gas to the Funny River Road Community and if that West side project is successful we’ll continue through the construction season and have that operational by the winter of 2014, hopefully we’ll get a few folks to apply for service as well.”
