Kirkland Pepper Recalled Due to Salmonella

Olde Thompson Inc., a spice company, has recalled various lot numbers of Kirkland Signature Course Malabar Pepper.

 

The recalled product may be contaminated with Salmonella which can last four to seven days and can sometimes lead to death.

 

Flu-like symptoms of Salmonella poisoning usually begin 12-72 hours after infection.

 

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation confirmed this product was available in Alaska however had not received any reports of illnesses or reactions as of June 9.

 

The exact product was Kirkland Signature Course Malabar Pepper in 12.7 ounce plastic jars with a 03/2017 expiration date.
