The Kenai Peninsula College Dorms continue to up residency each semester.

Kendrick: “The word is getting out, we doubled our number of residents between last semester and this semester, we’ve met our benchmark, last year being our first year marking 30% occupancy was exactly what we expected. This semester we’re just at about 61% occupancy which is fabulous, exactly where we hope to be, hoping that next year we’ll be at the 90% plus level.”
Kendrick said the dorms are an attempt to increase out of town student enrollment and so far the rising numbers are promising.
