Football: Week Three Pairings
The high school football season advances into week three of the regular season with central peninsula teams playing divisional opponents.
Nikiski vs Monroe @ Fairbanks

The Nikiski Bulldogs go on the road for a Greatland Conference showdown against the Monroe Rams in Fairbanks.
Nikiski and Monroe battled in the 2013 Small School state championship game, with the Bulldogs winning 36-28. The Bulldogs are 1-1 on the season and will play their first conference game against the Rams.
Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
SoHi vs Thunder Mountain @ Soldotna High

The Soldotna Stars will put their 22-game win streak on the line against the Thunder Mountain Falcons in a Medium School divisional game on Saturday. SoHi is unbeaten at 2-0 with victories over a pair of large school opponents. SoHi has allowed only one touchdown in two games.

Kenai vs Kodiak @ KCHS

The Kenai Kardinals, 0-2 after traveling to Fairbanks and Juneau, will play at home on Saturday in the Kardinals’ first Northern Lights Conference contest of the season. Kenai qualified for the Medium School playoffs in 2013 and will begin the trek to the playoffs on Saturday.
Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on KSRM 920AM.
