Temperatures are dropping however construction season continues through October, drivers should be cautious of ongoing projects as traffic patterns are still changing.

 

The Cooper Landing Sterling Highway project from Quartz Creek to Jim’s Landing will have lane restrictions and flagging operations Mondays through Saturdays from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

 

The Soldotna to Anchor Point pullout project is expected to run through October and drivers on the Sterling Highway can expect lane restrictions, flagging operations, and short delays between Ninilchik and Anchor Point Mondays through Fridays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

 

Homer Spit is undergoing improvements from Pioneer Avenue to Land’s End. Drivers in that area can expect lane restrictions along with pilot car operations Sundays through Thursdays from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am  due to paving operations.

 

All other times, travelers should be aware of intermittent single-lane traffic on the Homer Spit.

 

And single-lane traffic, flagging and pilot car operations due to large culvert installations can be expected in Homer along East End Road from Kachemak Drive to Waterman Road Mondays through Saturdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
