House ACA Meetings Find Problems

The Alaska House Labor & Commerce Committee recently met in Anchorage for a two day meeting to discuss the Affordable Care Act.

 

Representative Kurt Olson chairs the committee.

 

 

He said a variety of issues have impacted the federal program’s effectiveness in Alaska, including less young employed men being enrolled and more elderly and veterans being enrolled than anticipated.

 

 

On the second day public testimony was taken, Olson described the gist of what was heard.
