Last night the Binkley Street Project opened up Park Avenue and is planning on opening the section in front of the Soldotna Post Office this week.
Project Manager Lee Frey gave us an update.
Frey: “Yeah we opened it late last night, they’re still finishing up some work on the traffic signals when we put in that new pedestrian cross. Finishing up that, putting down a little bit of top soil. The remainder of the work to do there, so we’re hoping to open up the section in from of the post office probably tomorrow or Friday at the latest.”
Anyone headed to the post office can now access that temporary post office entrance from the Kenai Spur Highway via Park Ave.
Binkley Street remains closed between Park Avenue and Corral Street.
