During the October 15 Soldotna City Council meeting the council decided not to support a resolution for the Youth Restoration Corps to build a trail around Arc Lake.
Mayor Nels Anderson detailed the council’s decision.
Anderson: “City council decided not to support a specific group in doing that until they had more information and knew exactly what was going to happen. It’s not that they’re opposed to the trail they just wanted to make sure that it was done in an appropriate and efficient manner and that we had more input into in than the information they had at the time that they were asked to support the group involved.”
Anderson said that the YRC is still hoping to work on this trail.
