On Saturday Homer Electric Association held their 6th annual Energy Conservation Fair at the Kenai Middle School.

Joe Gallagher with HEA said they don’t have an exact head count for attendance but they did got through 500 hot dogs.

Gallagher: “I think what was really enjoyable for the folks who attended was our kids zone, we put a lot of effort into the activities for the kids, had some hands on displays to let the young kids know about energy conservation and that was really really popular and busy all day long.”

He added that anyone who wanted to chat with professionals about energy conservation but missed last weekend’s fair have one more chance.

Gallagher: “We will be repeating the Energy and Conservation Fair this Saturday, November 8, this coming Saturday, at Homer High School, and again the times for the fair will be opening at 10 am and will be ongoing through the day til 3 pm.”
