Last year a significant hitch in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District’s budget was the funding of the Skyview Pool.
Assistant Superintendent Dave Jones said the School Board has made pools an area of their goals to look at this year.
Jones: “We’re actually looking at not just the Skyview Pool but all pools and we’re going to do a report to the board in December on what we spend on those pools, how much they’re related for instruction, how much they’re related for activities, how much they’re related to community, and do those things so the board can get an informed, detailed look at that before we go into the budget process again to see if they’re going to do anything different with the pools.”
