The Nikiski Bulldog volleyball team returns to the 3A state volleyball tournament by virtue of a solid showing at the Southcentral Conference Volleyball Tournament.
Nikiski finished third and earned the #3 seed from the SCC with a three-game sweep of Cordova on Saturday at Grace Christian School. The top three teams advance to the 3A tournament. Homer won the SCC championship with Grace Christian finishing second.
The 2014 3A Volleyball Championships are scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, November 13-15 at the Wells Fargo Center on the UAA campus.
