Members of the Kenai Brown Bears hockey team could be seen on street corners in Kenai and Soldotna supporting veterans despite the chilly temperatures.
Quinton Wunder detailed what made them stand out there.
Wunder: “Our military does a lot for us and it’s just great to show our support and everything like that, a lot of people just kind of overlook it and obviously we wouldn’t be able to stand on this corner if it wasn’t for all the vets so we just wanted to show our support and how much we appreciate it.”
Gustav Berglund talked about the reactions from passersby.
Berglund: “Yeah, we’re getting a lot of horns [two horns honking] yeah there’s one, a lot of positive.”
