Allie Ostrander, KCHS senior and national caliber distance runner, is featured in a new MileSplit original video series featuring running sport’s elite high school athletes and future stars.

Allie Ostrander is a rare distance gem found remotely on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. A 3-time state cross country champion and 10:03 two miler on the track, the small-framed Ostrander’s mountainous rise has mystified and intrigued a nation. She has quickly ascended in the past 6 months to be considered one of the country’s best high school runners to earn a US #1 ranking this fall. Training in the harsh Alaska weather and terrain, Ostrander is preparing to compete in her first cross country national championship meet on Saturday, December 6th at the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon.
