Today the Kenai Peninsula Borough School Board will hear an update on district wide school pools at an 8:30 am work session.
Previously Assistant Superintendent Dave Jones said the conversations over how to fund the Skyview Pool last year spurred the report.
Jones: “We’re actually looking at not just the Skyview Pool but all pools and we’re going to do a report to the board in December on what we spend on those pools, how much they’re related for instruction, how much they’re related for activities, how much they’re related to community, and do those things so the board can get an informed, detailed look at that before we go into the budget process again to see if they’re going to do anything different with the pools.”
That work session will also address teacher healthcare.
The work session will be held from 8:30 am to 12 noon in the Borough Assembly Chambers.
