Miller Energy Resources Inc. announced today that it closed its acquisition of Savant Alaska LLC for $6.5 million.
Miller Energy CEO Carl Giesler said they are very excited in their continued investment in the state of Alaska.
Giesler: “Well we reached agreement as we announced, last spring, the deal actually has an effective date of May 1st, the whole thing took a while for regulatory and other reasons but at the end of the day we are very excited for the people and owners of Savant for working with us.”
Miller Energy is the is the parent company of the local Cook Inlet Energy.
It is a U.S. oil and natural gas exploration and production company which has production and reserves onshore and offshore in the Cook Inlet area as well as the North Slope, owns the Osprey offshore production platform and four drilling rigs.
The company has management offices in both Anchorage and the lower 48.
