Crews are on location of an accident on the Spur Highway involving a first responder vehicle that collided with a semi truck. That accident is blocking the Spur Highway in North Kenai near the Tesoro 2 Go.
Crews seem to have been responding to a residential fire when the accident occurred and the accident may have required extrication.
KSRM’s Catie Quinn was on location and spoke with Nikiski Fire Chief James Baisden who said no one was seriously injured but it will be a while before the road is reopened as crews are still cleaning up debris.
