Nikiski Administrators on Leave Following Complaints

An investigation has begun into complaints from parents which led to two Nikiski Middle-High School administrators and two teachers being placed on paid administrative leave.

Pegge Erkeneff with the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District said the complaints stemmed from a faculty Christmas program which happened on December 18.

Erkeneff: “And the district office recieved some calls and concerns from parents about that so our Superintendent Mr. Dusek directed an investigation to take place through our human resources department and that’s following our normal procedures and processes that we have in place and as a process and part of that four of our employees are on administrative leave pending the outcome of the situation.”

The program reportedly contained Vice Principal Shane Bostic on stage in just underclothing and male teachers on stage dressed as female students kissing pictures of male teachers.

This investigation follows the ongoing case of former Nikiski choir teacher Jeremy Anderson who is facing charges of repeated statutory rape of a 15 year old female student.
