The Kenai Peninsula may finally receive some wintery weather beginning tonight according to a weather advisory put out by the National Weather Service.
KSRM’s Meteorologist Sally Russell.
Russell: “Winter weather advisory in affect from 4 pm this afternoon through 6 pm Friday, we could pick up anywhere from 3-8 inces of snowfall starting tonight and lasting through Friday night with the snow showers actually persisting through at least Saturday. You combine the heavy snow bands with winds anywhere from 10 – 20 miles per hour we definitely could see reduced visibility so please please be extra careful. We are expecting our snow to persist through Saturday afternoon and then we’ll see a little bit of improvement. The worst of the snowfall is expected to begin tonight and linger through much of Friday.”
