Troopers Arrest Four after Snowmachine Theft Report

Investigation into the theft of an Arctic Cat snowmachine led to four arrests on a variety of charges.

 

Alaska State Troopers recieved the theft report from a residence near Echo Lake Road in Soldotna on February 18. That was followed on February 25 with information to the troopers’ criminal suppression detail on a potential suspect and location of the snowmachine.

 

On February 27 troopers contacted 26 year-old John King of Kenai in connection with the investigation. After investigation, King was arrested for two counts of vehicle theft 1st, two counts of vehicle theft 2nd, two counts of theft 2nd, two counts of hindering prosecution 1st, and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

 

A stolen 2008 Yamaha Raptor was also recovered from the property King was arrested on.

 

The investigation continued and recovered the Arctic Cat snowmachine from a residence near mile 23 of the Kenai Spur Highway in Nikiski.

 

At the residence where the snowmachine was, three more individuals were arrested.

 

29 year-old Michael Roza of Nikiski was arrested for vehicle theft 1st, vehicle theft 2nd, theft 2nd, criminal mischief 3rd, tampering with physical evidence, and misconduct involving a controlled substance 4th.

 

31 year old Jared Meader of Kenai was arrested for misconduct involving a controlled substance 4th along with charged of misconduct involving weapons to the 2nd and 5th degrees and outstanding warrants.

 

The fourth male was 59 year-old Craig Canova of Nikiski who was arrested for outstanding warrants.

 

All four people were transported to Wildwood Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
