Caring for the Kenai Finalists Chosen

The 25th Annual Caring for the Kenai competition has narrowed down more than 400 applications to just 12 finalists.

Donna Peterson, one of the judges, was formerly School District Superintendent…

Peterson: “We saw some ideas this year that we haven’t seen before and were expanded in ways that none of us had thought about, so that’s always good when you see ideas that spark other ideas. We also, different from the beginning, is we had some new judges that had different perspectives. That conversation just got even more exciting.”

The finalists are being notified that they made it to the final round of judging, but will remain anonymous until the oral presentations are given on April 16 at the Kenai Central High School.
