Representatives of the Alaska Office of Veterans Affairs are holding a town hall style meeting this evening.
VA Public Information Officer Sam Hudson detailed their goals.
Hudson: “At 5 o’clock to 6 o’clock at the Kenai Peninsula[College] Residence Hall, we’re going to have a veterans listening session. Now normally when we say listening session when your commander comes in, it’s normally a one and a half way listening conversation. But this one is going to be a one and a half conversation but reverse. The Director, Susan Yeager is the director of the Veterans Healthcare of Alaska, and then also, Karl Pfanzelter who’s the Acting Regional Director for the VAB, Veterans Benefits Association, they’re going to be here to listen, to take questions, to hear your concerns. To caveat that, we’re going to have people such as Michelle Peterson and then other VBA people that if there is a problem we can solve? Full steam ahead.”
