On St. Patrick’s Day Anchor Point Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of a theft near mile post 148 of the Sterling Highway.
Once there, officers found evidence that the homeowner had interrupted the burglary by arriving home.
Troopers checked the area near the residence but was unable to locate anyone.
The homeowner said they had only left for a short time. They reported seeing a dark colored sedan in the area when leaving but could not remember if it was still parked on the Sterling Highway when the arrived home.
Troopers ask anyone with information to contact the Anchor Point Troopers and reference case number AK15019057.
