Soldotna launch fees for non-motorized boats were sliced in half last Wednesday. Councilor Peter Sprague introduced the resolution to drop one-time launch fees from $15 to $7.50 and a season pass from $400 to $200.
Sprague was concerned some boaters are being charged twice: once when they launch and again if they dock at a different location.
Soldotna has two public boat launches, one at Swiftwater and the other at Centennial Park.
