2015 KSRM Easter Egg Found

Much to the dismay of those out hunting for the KSRM Easter Egg, it has been found.

Soldotna resident Pat Dobson said he had been searching for the egg for about 7 or 8 years and finally found it.

Dobson: “It was up at Arc Lake, just off the parking lot there, in a tree. Someone had bored a hole, about a 2 inch hole in it and stuck some bark over the top of it and there it was.”

He was at Arc Lake all day yesterday but left after 6 pm when KSRM announced there would be no more clues for the day.

Dobson said once he heard the 10 am clue this morning he took a closer look.

Dobson: “Well I had been out there about 7 o’clock just to keep scouting around, I had looked at that tree about 10 times the day before and a couple of times that morning. I heard the clue about the rock next to the parking lot, 22 away from it. Well there’s three big rocks out there, so I started out at the wrong rock and couldn’t find anything. Went to another rock that was right on the edge of the main parking lot there and went 22 paces there was two trees within 22 so took my glasses off so I could see real close and noticed a little bit of fresh cut bark right next to where it was.”

He said for those who want to hunt for the egg next year the most important thing is to listen to the radio for the clues.
