Since recreational marijuana was legalized February 24, State Troopers say there have been 70 pot “incidents”…
Peters: “Some of the vents involved the use of marijuana in public, some for possession or transportation, cultivation, maybe intent to deliver, some involving marijuana found on students while at school or maybe marijuana found during a DUI arrest.”
Cases are still being reviewed and charges haven’t yet been filed in all 70 cases.
Marijuana-related bills are still working through the Legislature; the Senate State Affairs Committee discussed a regulatory bill yesterday, but took no action. The House Judiciary Committee took testimony, but no action, on a marijuana crimes bill.
