Teenagers interested in learning more about how to run a business might enjoy the annual Alaska Business Week.

Jacobson: “It’s a program that’s open to grades 9-12 high school students, and they will live on the college campus and will work as teams while being mentored by Alaska’s business leaders and they actually will learn how to develop leadership skills and they have to come up with their own business plan as a team. At the completion of the program they will actually receive two college credits for participating.”

Katie Jacobson with the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce said Program Director Nicole Schuh will be speaking at tomorrow’s joint Kenai Soldotna luncheon at Froso’s.

Schuh will be presenting information at the luncheon for anyone who might want to be involved in the program or know a teenager interested in participating.

There will also be more information on the scholarship available through the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce which can be used for a student to attend the Alaska Business Week.

Anyone interested in eating at the luncheon may RSVP by 5 pm today with either the Kenai Chamber at 283-1991 or Soldotna Chamber at 262-9814.
