Getting properties out of City hands and into City tax rolls, Soldotna is considering selling 7 properties through a sealed bid process.
The Soldotna City Council will take public testimony on the ordinance at tomorrow night’s meeting.
Soldotna Real Estate Agent Dale Bagley and Borough Assembly Member explained the process…
Bagley: “A number of city-owned properties that have come different ways, probably most of them through tax foreclosure, some have been bought for different purposes that maybe haven’t happened. So, getting those properties back on the tax rolls and back in private hands.”
7 parcels were chosen from a list of 22. Three are located in the Mooring Subdivision, between W Marydale Ave and SoHi Lane, one on W Riverview Ave, one on Smith Way and two in the Rinehart Subdivision.
The bid will be open from May 1 through July 31 with the high bidder notified soon after the bids are opened on August 3rd.
The Soldotna Council will convene at 6 pm Wednesday, April 22, at Soldotna City Hall.
