Local Teams Record Conference Wins In Valley

The high school soccer season moved into May and into Northern Lights Conference play with Kenai, Nikiski and SoHi all traveling to the Valley for soccer contests.

 

Kenai Girls 1 – Wasilla 1

Heidi Perkins scored the Kardinals only goal in a 1-1 tie with Wasilla.  Allie Steinbeck allowed only one goal in net for the Kardinal girls.

Kenai Boys 0 – Wasilla 2

The Kardinal boys were shutout by Wasilla 2-0

Kenai Girls 2 – Grace 0

Heidi Perkins scored both Kenai goals in win over the Grizzlies.

Kenai Boys 4 – Grace 0

The Kardinals recorded a 4-0 shutout over Grace with a three-goal, hat trick by Zack Tuttle and a goal by Max Dye.

SoHi Girls 4 – Wasilla 0

SoHi shutout Wasilla in NLC action 4-0 and improved to 5-0 for the season.  Miranda Wolfe scored a four-goal, hat trick against the Warriors.

SoHi Boys 2 – Wasilla 0

The Stars boys also recorded a shutout in a 2-0 win over Wasilla.  Ryan Winter and Bos Asimakopoulas recorded goals for the Stars.

SoHi Girls and Boys defeat Houston

Nikiski Girls 0 – Colony 6

Nikiski Boys 1 – Colony 6

Nico Castro broke-up a Knight shutout with a late Bulldog goal.

Nikiski 3 – Houston 0

The Bulldog girls recorded a NLC victory with a 3-0 win over the Hawks.  Rachel Thompson scored twice and Melanie Sexton added a goal for the Bulldogs.

Nikiski Boys 6 – Houston 1

The Bulldog boys recorded their third victory of the season with a 6-1 win over Houston.
