The 2015 Soap Box Derby in Kenai is just ten days away. Race Director Scott Hamann said the race is changing location this year…
Hamann: “Unfortunately, Spruce St in Kenai just got a little rough this year so we’re going to be making special ramps and we’re going to be racing in the parking lot of the Challenger Learning Center at the multi-purpose facility and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Hamann said kids will race their derby cars along 20ft aluminum ramps built especially for the occasion.
For the first time, used cars will be available. Race Day is May 16th and the winner will continue on to nationals. For more, contact Scott Hamann at 776-7676
