Blow-outs, Ties, and Walk-off Homer Highlight Tuesday Contests

The final week of the regular season for high school soccer continued Tuesday with SoHi traveling to Seward and Kenai on the north road to Nikiski.

SoHi Girls 6 – Seward 0

The SoHi girls improved their undefeated record to 11-0 with a 6-0 shut out of Seward in Northern Lights Conference soccer.  Whitney Wortham scored a three-goal, hat trick and Alyssa Wolfe added two goals for the Stars.

SoHi Boys 4 – Seward 1

The Stars used a balanced offense for a 4-1 victory over Seward. SoHi goals were scored by Dylan Ackerman, Ty Fenton, Jeremy Godfrey and Ryan Winter.

Kenai Girls 4 – Nikiski 1

The Kardinal girls improved to 9-1-1 overall with a 4-1 NLC victory over Nikiski.  Hanna Drury and Cori Holmes net two goals apiece and Rachel Thompson scores a lone Nikiski goal.

Kenai Boys 0 – Nikiski 0

The Kardinals and Bulldogs play to a 0-0 tie in boys soccer action.

 

SoHi baseball and softball teams battle Homer on Tuesday in conference play.

SoHi Baseball 9 – Homer 7

A seventh-inning, walk-off home run by Mason Prior pushed the Stars past the Mariners 9-7 in NLC baseball action.

SoHi Softball 4 – Homer 17

The Mariners dominated SoHi 17-4 in NLC softball action in Homer on Tuesday.

Soccer: SoHi vs Homer @ SoHi   Varsity girls 4 p.m.   Varsity boys 6 p.m.
