The final Gatorade Athlete of the Year awards has been released and Allie Ostrander is the 2015 Alaska Girls Track and Field Gatorade Athlete of the Year.
Allie adds the 2015 award to the 2014 Gatorade track award earned her junior year at Kenai Central High School.
Allie’s trophy collection also includes a sweep of the Gatorade awards in cross country running. Allie won the Gatorade Alaska Cross Country Athlete of the Year award four times from her freshman through senior seasons.
Levi Thomet, from Kodiak, earns the Gatorade Boys Track and Field award.
The Gatorade Player of the Year award was established in 1985 to recognize and celebrate the nation’s most outstanding high school talents for their athletic achievement, academic excellence and exemplary character. Now in its third decade, the Gatorade Player of the Year award has become one of the most prestigious accolades in high school sports.
