The Peninsula Oilers offense exploded for eight runs on seven hits in the fourth inning and 11 runs on 13 hits for the game; as the Oilers defeated the Seattle Studs 11-0 in non-conference baseball action on Thursday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
The first game of a two-game, non-league series against the Studs marked the first 12+ hit game and the first double-digit runs game of the season for the Oilers. The Oilers had only scored three runs in their past four games. Throughout the current run of offensive woes, the Oilers pitching has been outstanding, with starting pitchers allowing only one earned run in the past five games.
