Clock said there’s still time for a new leader to appear, the derby doesn’t end until Sunday, August 16 at noon.
Clock: “So the Rotary Club partners with us and they grill about 20 silver salmon and then we have our awards ceremony down at the Branson Pavilion, it’s on the waterfront at about 5 pm [Sunday].”
2014’s Derby winner weighed 17.67 pounds.
Lucas Brockman of Seward is in the lead for the Youth Category with his 13.31 lb silver.
