Six van passengers were injured in a one-vehicle rollover near Clam Gulch this morning after the driver lost control while passing another vehicle.
Alaska State Troopers and medical personnel responded to the wreck involving only the full-size van near Mile Post 120 of the Sterling Highway at 8:46 am.
Investigation found eight people had been riding in the van when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle on a straight away.
It was raining, the driver lost control and wrecked.
Six of the eight people were injured although their names and extent of their injuries are not known.
A LifeMed helicopter transported the most critical patient and ambulances with Central Emergency Services and Ninilchick EMS transported the other five people to a peninsula hospital.
