The Kenai Peninsula Tourism and Marketing Council’s building in Soldotna was struck by lightning this afternoon during storm that passed over the peninsula.
Employees in the building at the time reported that the strike was seen inside an interior office door.
No one was injured.
The side of the building that does not hold KPTMC’s offices lost power and the telephone lines went down.
